Abraham Lincoln

 Abraham Lincoln  was the 16th president of the united states from 1861 until his assasination in 1865.

Lincoln led the nation through the american civil war and suceeded in preserving the union, abolishing slavery, bolstering the federal government,and modernizing the u.s  economy.

Lincoln was born in Indiana.He was self-educated and became a lawyer.

Lincoln was a moderate republican.He engineered the end to slavery with his Emancipation Proclamation.

In 1914, the great powers were divided in two factions: allied powers, consisting of France, Russia,Britain,United States,Italy and Serbia.and the central powers, consistin of Germany,Austria-Hungary,Otoman empire.The war began because Gavrilo Princip,a extremist serbian, killed archduke Franz Ferdinad, Crown Prince of Austria.
